One should not trade with funds you cannot afford to lose. It is highly advisable to practice by paper trading before getting involved with financial risk. Paper trading simply means to trade in a simulated fashion. One can find many broker websites that will allow you to hone your trading skills and gain a feel for the routines and systems used by day traders before investing your hard-earned cash.

Paper trading is not worth anything unless you are simulating real-life day trading as close as possible. One should therefore try to approach paper trading in the same manner as if you were committing real money. This involves setting up your trading plan, dealing with all day trading concepts, like:
